What we keep, and what we don't.

Backrun Shield is a public RPC for BNB Smart Chain, run by one independent operator on its own node. This page lists everything the endpoint and this website record, and it is written to be checked.

Every request, website and endpoint

Access log, kept 7 days, then deleted. The requesting IP address, the time, the method, host and path, the response, and the request's headers, which include your browser's user agent, language and platform hints.
Reads are not recorded beyond that log line. Calls such as eth_call or eth_getBalance are answered by our node; their contents are not stored.
The rate limit lives in memory. Each IP's request count for the current minute (600 a minute) is held in memory and written nowhere.
No cookies, no analytics, no ads. The one outside service a page load touches is Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces, so your browser contacts Google when a page opens.

Each transaction you send

For every eth_sendRawTransaction the endpoint writes one row:

Recorded	The transaction's hash, sender, recipient, nonce, value and size in bytes; the time; the requesting IP; the block height at that moment; each builder's acknowledgement; and later, whether it was included privately or broadcast publicly.
Partner links	If it arrived through a partner link (`rpc.backrunshield.com/r/0x…`), that partner address is recorded with it.
Not recorded	The signed transaction itself. Only its size is kept.
How long	These rows are not deleted on a schedule today. The transaction becomes public on chain anyway once it is mined.
What for	Counting what the endpoint handles, for the public numbers on /stats.

Where your transaction goes

Privately to two block builders. It is sent to 48Club and BlockRazor for the next block. The builders see it; that is how it gets into a block.
Publicly, if neither takes it. If no builder includes it within 2 blocks (about 0.9 seconds), we broadcast it to the public mempool through our node, so it is never stuck.
Nothing of ours in front, nothing behind. The endpoint does not trade in front of your transaction or behind it, and pays no rebate. The operator runs its own arbitrage on BNB Chain separately, from the accounts listed on the front page.
No keys, no custody. Your wallet signs locally. We receive a finished transaction and cannot change it, only forward it.

What is public

Totals. Wallets, transactions and how many were included privately, on /stats.
One address at a time. Anyone who knows an address can look it up on /stats and see how many transactions it sent through this endpoint, and when it was first and last seen. The list of addresses is never published.
Nothing is sold or shared. What we record stays with the operator.
